Following up on the launch of the budget oriented Moto G and the mid-range Moto X
in India, Motorola has unveiled its entry-level smartphone the Moto E
at a price of Rs 6,999 in India. The Moto E, as with the Moto G and Moto
X, will also be available exclusively via online retailer Flipkart in
India.
With the Moto E, Motorola lowers its price bar even further and the phone is expected to give stiff competition to the Indian brands that thrive in the budget Android smartphone segment. Recently HTC has also launched the Desire 210 in India at Rs 8,700.
The Moto E targets feature phone users and marketing marketing campaign in the run up to the launch shows old feature phones being dumped. Motorola focusing both on affordability and robustness. A tagline for the Moto E says, "Made to last. Priced for all." India is the first market in which the Moto E will go on sale and will be available on Flipkart from Tuesday (13 May,2014) night.
